Efficiency through Integration - Rethinking biofuels

SIB was founded on the principle that integrating renewable technologies could lead to greater efficiency than stand-alone facilities. SIB’s original (patent pending) model for an integrated bioenergy facility, co-located with a power plant, includes a number of conventional bioenergy facilities configured to utilize waste streams from some processes as feedstocks for other facilities. SIB continues to pursue integrated bioenergy projects in locations where there is both economic and technological viability.
